Ford looked back behind him before taking off after her, feeling for his room key in his pocket.

"Eva, wait!" he called out, hearing the door to his room shut. He was barefoot and he hoped she wouldn't make it all the way to the elevator. Unfortunately, the elevators door opened up ahead.

"Eva!" he cried, sliding in behind her. "Eva -- I can, he followed me." He tried to give her an explanation, tried to apologize with his eyes but he didn't know what else to say.
